    Unanswered: SQL View for Report...

    Hello,

I am using MS Access 2000. How can I view the SQL that a report is based on? I am trying to convert the Access Report to a web-based report and I need to see what SQL builds the form.

    Thanks...

In the report properties, go to the data tab and check the record source. This is either an existing table or query that you can view, or it is an sql statement which you can view, edit, and execute from the query designer by clicking on the little "build" icon: "...".

    Same thing goes for forms.

I don't see a record source property only a "control source" property.

The contents of the property window depends on what object currently has the focus. At the moment, a control on your form or report has the focus so those are the properties you see.

If you expand your viewing window beyond the boundaries of your form or report until you see grey space (well, its grey in my color scheme), then click on the gray space to switch focus to the entire report.
