Unanswered: MSDE Install problem, need help

We are running Windows 2000 SP4 without SQL. I need to install MSDE 2000 for an application. Every time I try to install the installer goes to about 95% (3 seconds left) and then rolls back and gives no error messages. The event log lists:

    Description:
No object list was found in the installation file. Adding an object list to the installation file will improve performance of the system when measuring performance counters.
I ran the setup in vebose mode and logged it and I have attached the log. I have posted the last of the log file (since the full one is 2.5 Mb).

Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated, I am really frustrated with this.
