    Unanswered: db2 backup restoring problem.

    Hello,
Our DB2 database crashed, but we have the back of the DB2 database installed in Windows NT. We tried to restore backup but we are not able to restore the database. Im consistently getting an error "SQL2542N No match for a database image file was found based on the source
database alias and timestamp provided. ". how can we restore the database using the backup image ?? Please Help.

If You have only one backup, for example on D:,You can simple enter
    db2 restore db <dbname> from d:

    Re: db2 backup restoring problem.

If in your original backup command said, backup db to C:\backup

then in your restore command, will have to say only
    restore db from C:\backup ...

Have a look at the example at
