Unanswered: importing btree database (dat+idx file)

    Hi all,

we have to import data from a legacy application. Problem is that we don't exactly know how the file structure is. The only thing we know is that it is supposed to be some sort of btree database. The company building the original app is gone, so we cannot dig any information from them. the files have the extension ".dat" and ".idx"

    thanks in advance

    btree

The database is called BTRIEVE. I have found that Crystal reports can export the DAT file to a dbIII format which can be opened by excel but I've had no luck with the IDX part. Help!
