Team,

I have a chuck of java code that accesses 9i via the thin jdbc driver. It runs fine from the IDE that I am working with (Sun One Studio). I can connect to the db, execute the statements I need, and retrieve and display data.

So far, so good, but the same code packaged as a jar file fails with the dreaded class not found exception for oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver. Physically, these are the same class files that run ok from the IDE.

My classpath variable is set as per the oracle manuals (to [OracleHome]/jdbc/lib/classes12.zip). I've tried with classes111 as well (both zip and jar versions) with no change.

Also, I've tried jdk 141.02 as well as the 1.3.1 that ships with oracle - no change.

I'm baffled - any ideas / suggestions welcomed.
