Unanswered: stored proceedure to run daily

I currently have a stored proceedure that calls a Java app that removes files stored in my Oracle 8i db, and inserts them into the web server directory based on file extension. It is part of a small content management solution that i am building. Due to security restrictions on the network i will no longer be able call the stored procedure from outside my production environment.

I am new to oracle development and was wondering if it is possible to have a stored procedure triggered at 1:00am daily without using a batch file? (this is a request from the network admin team).

Is this type of activity supported in oracle?

    Thanks

    Yes,

    Look at the dbms_job package:
