    Unanswered: sybase client

    hi. i am totally new to sybase. i have install a sybase AES in a win2k machine and i would liketo get a client and install in win XP. what is the program that i can get to connect to the server?

    When you install ASE Server product, the client runtime gets installed.

    In your OCS-12_0/bin directory or OCS-12_5/bin depending on your install, there is an isql utility with which you can connect to the server using isql -Usa -P<password> -S<Server Name>

    Otherwise you can use GUI based connection tools available from the PC Client CD. Install the PC Client CD and that will give you SQL Advantage.
