    Unanswered: Oracle unattended uninstallation

    Dear All,

We need to unistall different versions of Oracle on more than one computer and accordingly we need a method which will uninstall the Oracle unattended.

We are aware that an unattended uninstallation of Oracle 8.1.7 is available. We require something similar for Oracle 7.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks and Regards

    Adrian

Well if you cant use the install app to do it you could setup a template database and then use a script to copy it and modify certain parameters like the SID. It would also have to be able to modify some OS system files if its on UNIX. On UNIX I would use a shell script to copy the files over and then use something like awk/sed to modify configuration files.

... and the shell script should be able to create the oracle user.

I dont think it would be too difficult to setup though it would help if your familiar with script language on the OS your using.
