    Unanswered: Copy Linked Tables

I am running an environment with FE and BE databases. When I am in the FE database I copy and paste a table (and subsequently rename the table). The new table shows up as a link to the BE database, even within the Linked Table Manager.

However, when I open the BE database the table is not there.

Can anyone explain this to me. This does not make sense to me.

And do I have to copy and paste this table within the BE database in order to have the table show up there?

    Any help is appreciated.

When you copy the linked table, all you are really copying is the link to the table. What you need to do is import the table if you want a local copy for some reason.

Does that mean my copy and paste on the FE database is just another link to the original table in the BE database, even if I rename it?

OK that does make sense to me now. Thanks.
