    Unanswered: Query on ANSI databases

    Hi,

I am currently working on IDS 9.40.

Using E-SQL I am connecting to an ansi database and executing a simple SELECT statement. After which I close the connection and try to access an Non-Ansi database which throws the error "cannot open csql.iem".

I read this about that ... Check your INFORMIXDIR environment variable. csql.iem is error messages file, located in $INFORMIXDIR/msg/en_us/0333/ - on Unix platform. On NT - %INFORMIXDIR%\msg\en_us\04e4\ .

If you have already installed the ClientSDK, check in $INFORMIXDIR/msg/en_us/0333 for the csql.iem file. If it does not exist, reinstall the ClientSDK.
