I am trying to use a multi table insert in 8i.
I am using the following format.
WHEN email like '%XYZ.com' THEN
INTO T1 values (email)
WHEN email like '%ABC.com' THEN
INTO T2 values (email)
SELECT email from TABLE1
The SQL complains
14:35:21 DBNAME SQL> /
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00925: missing INTO keyword
I am not sure as to when the multitable inserts (unconditional ALL, conditional ALL) came into the picture. I suspect it started all in 9i, but I wanted to confirm the same, and also if it is my syntax of the inserts.
I must say that 9i is coming out with some excellent features as compared to 8i, like insert all, timestamp ....
I wanted to know about insert all as yesterday I took the 1Z0-007 exam. It wasnt that bad.
Now I am gearing to take the 1Z0-031 exam sometime soon.
