    Unanswered: sys password

    If some one changed the sys password, can I reset the sys password.

    Yes if you can logon as SYSDBA and the userid has ALTER ANY USER permissions.

    Of course you can,as follow:

    oracle>sqlplus /nolog
    sql>conn / as sysdba;
    sql>alter user sys identified by <new_password>;
