Unanswered: reading information from the web into VB6 or VB7(.net)

    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way I can read information from a web site into a vb application.

All I need to do is read the current exchange rates from say: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/...ata/526699.stm (just an example, Ill more than likely be using a subscribed site).

I will then use some code to go through this page picking up the currency rate I need.

Is there an ActiveX control I can use? Can I link to IE using DDE? Is there another simple way I can do this? I dont mind if I write this in VB6 or VB.Net as it will is a very small demo application (at this time).

    Thanks in advance.

    Eamon.

    Use WebBrowser Control
You must go to Project Menu/Components
and add The Microsoft Internet Controls...

There you can set your desired page and explore its contents.

    Hope it helps
