    Arrow Unanswered: HTML into access

I have created a ColdFusion-Access database search for an archive of HTML files (they are all formatted the same) Is there a simple way to batch process them into access?

    Re: HTML into access

Batch process what, the HTML file names or the content of the HTML pages?

the content... the title (which in this case isn't in the title tag), the body text (minus the formatting and images) and the publish date (which isnt in yet)

You can do a DIR command and loop until there are no more files. Once you have a file you can open the HTML page and get a line of data. Use MID command to extract the text data you want and write this into an access table. If the format of your web pages does differ from page to page you can loop and get a character at a time from the line of data until you hit a tag that indicates end of getting data.
