Hello Everybody,

I am having some problem in loading Clob data into Oracle database using SQL loader.

The SQL loader script is as follows.

LOAD DATA
INFILE 'clobdat1.dat'
BADFILE 'clobdata.bad'
DISCARDFILE 'clobdata.discard'
APPEND
INTO TABLE BENEFIT_SCRIPT
FIELDS TERMINATED BY '|'
(ben_scrpt_id ,
ben_scrpt_typ_id,
ben_scrpt_eff_strt_dt DATE(10) 'mm-dd-yyyy' ,
ben_scrpt_eff_end_dt DATE 'mm-dd-yyyy',
ben_scrpt_nm CHAR,
ben_qry_tpc_id ,
ben_qry_tpc_seq_nbr ,
res_file FILLER CHAR,
ben_scrpt_intrl_txt LOBFILE(res_file) TERMINATED BY EOF NULLIF res_file='NONE',
res2_file FILLER CHAR,
ben_scrpt_extr_txt LOBFILE(res2_file) TERMINATED BY EOF NULLIF res2_file='NONE'
)

The LOB Files are specified in the data file 'clobdat1.dat' . The SQL loader gets executed successfully. However, it does not load the complete clob data which is in LOB file . The clob data that is loaded into the table is truncated at exactly 1024 characters in length.

How do I load the entire clob data ?This syntax is as per the documentation in the Oracle manual.

Please help.

Thanks,
Srivalli
