    Exclamation Unanswered: Error 2013

    Hello there,

I just installed MySQL 4.0 but everytime I try to send a command to it I get this error:
ERROR 2013: Lost connection to MySQL server during query.

Does anybody why this might have happened?
    Thanks

    Hi,

Have you checked the output from any of the mysql log files for a clue?

Ok I tried this at a friend's comp and it seems to work. I typed "mysqld --console" at the DOS prompt to start InnoDB.

However, on my own computer, this command gives the following errors:
030905 23:40:43 InnoDB: Operating system error number 32 in a file operation.
InnoDB: See http://www.innodb.com/ibman.html for installation help.
InnoDB: Error number 32 means 'Broken pipe'.
InnoDB: See also section 13.2 at http://www.innodb.com/ibman.html
InnoDB: about operating system error numbers.
    InnoDB: File name .\ibdata1
    InnoDB: File operation call: 'open'.
    InnoDB: Cannot continue operation.

I installed MySQL using the binaries....can anybody help please?
    thanks
