    Unanswered: Which syspriv to create view

    Hello,

    I want to create a view of a system-view(just as example)

    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW ish.applview_PrimaryKeyElements AS
    SELECT OBJECT_TYPE, OBJECT_NAME
    FROM DBA_OBJECTS
    WHERE OWNER = 'X';

    When I execute the statement, it says that I don't have enough priviliges. I can select the sysviews, but not create a view out of it. Standard the 07_DICTIONARY_ACCESSIBILITY is set to false. I'm not logged on as sysdba. Can the sysdba give me some privileges so i can make a view out of some sysviews? I can make a view of any schema, just not the sys-schema.

    Hi,

    I tried to create the view as a normal user and received the error you mentioned.Then I granted as sys, 'select on dba_objects' to the user, and I got again the error. Removing the schema name from the view creation statement solved the problem and i was able to grant selects on it to other users as well.

    Good luck

    Edwin
