Unanswered: Query by subform/output to mainform

My apologies if this is redundant or elementary...I'm self-teaching.

I have a form and a subform based on a table of request information and a related table of addresses as a request can have Nth number of addresses.

I'd like to put a cmd button on the form which will search the address table, output the results to the subform along with the appropriate related request information to the main form.

    Many thanks in advance.

    RE: Query on subform

I think you need to base you current form and subform on a query that contains the search results. Let me know if you need more info.

Steve, thanks for the reply. I was able to create the query which would include my search results for the subform, then I coded a button which would prompt for the search criteria enable those results as the record source for my form and then I coded a button which restored the original record source allowing all records to be browsed.

Feel like I'm learning more and more everyday... and everyone here is so helpful!

    Thanks again.
