    Post Unanswered: VB 6.0 multiple file saver

    Visual Basic 6.0

    what to find a way to make a multiple file saver.

    Here what what i'm doing and what i need. A video camara detects motion that motion is then detcted by an "If then" statment. If the statment is ture it's starts recording the movie. This starts all over again when the progam detects motion.

    Here my probblem... so far i can save the file to a directory. This is good but, when the progams repeats it's self it just right over the same file. Insted i want the progam to create a new file name each time i record a movie.

    Here my source code that saves a movie to a curent directory:

    Sub Moive()
    Dim MovieFile As String
    MovieFile = "c:\windows\desktop\sample.avi"
    'Records a movie
    VideoPortal1.StartMoiveRecoding MovieFile, ""
    Timer1.Interval = 100
    Timer1.Enabled = True
    End Sub

    Any question Send to
    Thanks for your time!

    use the timestamp as your file name that way you wont have a with file names.

    e.g. (this is not the best approach)

    MovieFile = str(Now())

    You can generate your own timestamper
    water water everywhere and the boards did shirnk
    water water everywhere not a drop to drink
