Unanswered: Which gui is the best MySQL Admin GUI?

I recently installed PremiumSoft MySQL Studio (http://www.mysqlstudio.com) and EMS MySQL Manager (http://www.ems-hitech.com). Which one is the best MySQL Admin GUI tool? Both of them seems pretty good and only cost around $100. I would appreciate for any comments before make a purchase decision.

Please don't recommend sqlyog. This program sucks! It always say it's free but it's NOT! It's not freeware!

    Cool

Well, I've not attempted to use either product you mentioned so I can't say which is the better between the two of them.

However, I can offer a suggestion to you and hope it will be of some help to you. Check out http://www.irarichardsmith.com/modul...rtid=11&page=1 for options on admin tools.

    Hope this helps.

Have to agree been using phpMyAdmin for a long time, and it is a superb MySql admin tool, enabling full administration of MySql over your webserver.

I am also irritated with the fact that SQLyog was free for quite a long period of time, and BOOM, one day it became commercial.

I tried shifting to other products but didnt find a better alternative. Both EMS MySQL Manager ( www.ems-hitech.com ) and Navicat ( www.mysqlstudio.com ) are bloatware.

They have got many features that you are never going to use ( like a sick reporting tool, etc). They dont contain the most powerful features of SQLyog that I am addicted to -

ODBC Import & DataBase Sync Tool.

MySQLCC is also there but the commercial offerings are much more feature rich and stable.

    MySQLFront:

    Do not support Foreign Keys
The Import tool is very simple
    Only run in Windows
    Do not support Oracle
    Do not support MS SQL
    No query history
    etc.....

Are sure you describe the latest version? By the way, it shouldn't support Oracle and MSSQL because it is MySQLFront .

Re: Which gui is the best MySQL Admin GUI?

I'm a big fan of Mysql Front. But I seem to bounce around between command line, ODBC link to Access and SQLyog. Mysql Control Center is OK.

    Anyone try this one yet?

I don't preffer universal tools. Let it will work with only one db type, but it will use most quantity of db facilities. IMHO.

If you preffer the commersial tool I think EMS MySQL Manager will be a best choice.

As a matter of fact everybody choose the GUI DB manager based on the own sympathies and point of view about usability and convenience. Sometimes you can use not only one manager. In any case should get and try to choose the best for you.
