Unanswered: SQL Server 2000 Programming Questions

I am trying to get a SQL Server job to work across linked servers via a stored procedure. I have 6 servers and the the job works across 5 of the servers, but the last server is giving me the error below when the script tries to connect to it. I am new to the group so I apologize in advance if my description is to vague. Thanks.

The operation could not be performed because the OLE DB provider 'SQLOLEDB' was unable to begin a distributed transaction. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 7391) [SQLSTATE 01000] (Error 7312).

Check and make sure that the sql server agent is running on the last server.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for all your help. I discovered that the server was having DNS, and other problems yesterday, and after I rebooted the server I was able to get my job to run good on all the servers.
