Unanswered: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection

i'm connectin to an sql bd using a vb app. the app is running on 5 pc's with out any problems. but on 2 pc's i get the following message:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user 'sa'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

my sql sercity is set to authentication windows only.
i tried setting it to sql and windows but i still got the same error.
i switched back windows only and my app work on the pcs which it didn't work before. but after 30 min. of working i started to get the same error. i tried switching back and forth but it didn't help at all.

    please advise.

Could it be that PCs that the app is not working on have ODBC DataSource configured with Windows Authentication and the field Login ID contains SA while authentication method is selected to be Windows? Just a thought

is that system part of your LAN ??

in addition to what rdjabarov say try this too

just check whether that system is part of the domain and resgistered in your LAN.

Also try to run commands like PING <<SQL Server's IP>> see what response u get.
