    Unanswered: OEM VNI-2015 error

I was trying to do an analysis on a table from OEM when i received the following error:

VNI-2015 : The Node preferred credentials for the target node are either invalid
or do not have sufficient privileges to complete the operation.
On Windows platforms, the Node credentials specified for the Windows target
should have the "Logon as a batch job" privilege.

I tried putting a windows user account to the "Logon as a batch job" privilege and specify it in OEM's preferred credentials, but I am still receiving the same error message.

Is there any other place i need to check the settings from?

    TIA

    some further investigation:

our MIS guy suspect it might have something to do with the services authorization in Windows (both OEM and DB instance are run on the same Windows box), so he changed OEM service and DB instance from 'local system' entry to domain-user entry.

after that i will get a ORA-12500 error whenever i try to log into the DB instance, but not into OEM....

i went into tnsname.ora and tried changing the host description of the DB instance to ip address but it still didn't work.

after I switch everything back, ORA-12500 error was gone but I still couldn't run an analysis from OEM

    Re: OEM VNI-2015 error

    Hi,

    1. Os/ user should have admin privileges
    2. Name and password of O/s user and Database user must be identical
3.change preferred credentials for database as well as for node also.

    Hope this will help.
