Unanswered: Force type when selecting into new table?
Sometimes when I select very small numbers from a table when I create a new table it gets converted from number to text causing problems in calculations later on.
I think the cause of the problem is that very small numbers are sometimes represented as (for example) "1,2317565E-11".
But why doesn't Access create a new number column when I select from a number column? Grrr.
There are many, many queries run in a row to create tables and finally spit out the result I want. I don't want to convert all of then to Append queries and put a Delete question between all of them.
Is there a way to FORCE Access to create a new number column when it selects from a number column?
try putting a new field in your query using the format command. dont forget to make the original field unvisible.
