Unanswered: need help with special characters

    Hello

I have a field (nvarchar) holding words which have special characters
    like "t"

Now i can see them thru Enterprise Manager but if i query the table to Analyzer it doesn't show.

My issue is that calling thru VB 6.0 also does not help..i just get plain words without the sp. chars.

Any help would be appreciated Thanks

try explicite usage of unicode as

    SELECT cast(<YourField> AS NVarChar(255)) from <YourTable>

What do you see in the Query Analyzer? And which regional setting do you have (see Windows Control Panel)

Very strange! I don't have a clue yet, but try this one in your Query Analyzer:

    select '', unicode(''), ascii('')
    GO

    Is your output:
    ----- ----------- -----------
    249 249

    (1 row(s) affected)

    ?
