    Question Unanswered: Hide Checkbox Border?

Hello all. I'm new to posting to this board but I've been referring to it quite constantly the past few weeks.

To my question... I am trying to display a check box without it's border. I only want to see the check mark in the middle but no box surrounding this. This is what I have tried and currently is set:

    Border Style: Transparent
    Border Width: Hairline
    Border Color: 0
    Special Effect: Flat

    Has anyone encountered this before?

Oh right, I can change the Special Effect to some other choices and it displays only the checkmark on the form view, but I also need to be able to print a copy of the form or report and the boxes need to go. The whole reason for this is because I am squeezing a large number of checkboxes into a column and even though in design & form view it looks aligned & perfect, print preview and hard copies don't line up.

    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

As far as I know there is no way to remove the checkbox border in reports, although, as you say, you can hide the border on a form. The border is an integral part of the control. You could, theoretically, create your own ActiveX control in VB in order to create a checkbox without a border, but I think you'll find that's going to be your only solution. Good luck.

Or just make the border color the same as the form's background...
