    Unanswered: dbsrv7 -b Switch

Pls, help me with this topic.

    Working with ASA7.02.

The database server is started with the -b option. I'm trying mass insertions but the transaction log is growing fast, from 4M to 400 M

With this option ( -b ) the server is not supposed to register transactions in the transaction log. Is it ?

In this case what kind of transactions are registered in the transaction log? Why is the log growing that way?

-b mostly used in conjunction with LOAD TABLE. Everything else still would be logged.

    Question

The SQL Aywhere Studio Documentation says something like this

"The -b option should not be used if you are using LOAD TABLE to bulk load data.

It does not keep a rollback log or a transaction log."

It means when I use this option the transaction log is not going to keep all the transactions I make in the db, doesn't it?
