Unanswered: Automating Kodak Imaging through Access
I’m trying to construct an image database using scanned TIF images with Access. The images are engineering operation drawings drawn in a legacy Unix system and are not easily converted electronically, therefore a scanned TIF format will be utilized to get started.
After looking into multiple means to get Access to reproduce a document, I still can’t get the same reproduction of quality, format and performance that I can directly through the Kodak Imaging software; so, can I automate the Kodak Imaging software through Access? What will I need for additional resources? (i.e. web sites, books, software, or programmers in the Boston area.) Most of the web sites I’ve found on this subject import the image through a known directory maintaining the MS Access construct, yet I’d like to work outside of the confines of Access. To make things interesting, the documents can be multiple pages of mixed sizes, letter and 11x17.
