I have imported a table from Excel that was being maintained on by someone else. I am now trying to relate this table to the main table of records. Unfortunately, there are some records in the new table where the fields I wish to relate to are blank and therefore I cannot "Enforce Referential Integrity". Is there a way to make this work without deleting any of the records in the new table?
If this is a one time import for this spreadsheet you might want to consider running an update query to fill those fields in. Maybe put in a 0, NA or something like that. After you have something in those fields make sure it is relational (0, NA, etc) to the field in the other table then setup your referential integrity. Hopefully that will work. gl
