    Unanswered: 'MONEY' problem....

    Hello everybody....i am very new to sql....

    I am using MySQL 3.23.51 and i am trying to create a table like:

    CREATE TABLE TEST (CREDIT MONEY)

    I get an error message:
    ERROR 1054: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'MONEY)' at line 1

    I am trying to create this table from my study quide......I am just very confused why this does not work.....

    What is the study guide for? Microsoft SQL server perhaps?

    MySQL does not have a 'MONEY' datatype. You're closest match is to use a DECIMAL. You can read about MySQL's supported datatypes in The Manual.
