    Hi,

    There's Unix user named "abc" and she is identified by password "abc123".
    There's Oracle user named "abc" and she is identified by "abc123" as well.
    I am logged in to the Unix as this "abc" user.
    Now if I run "sqlplus abc/abc123" it works just OK.
    But if I run "sqlplus / " it returns me the following:

    ERROR:
    ORA-01004: default username feature not supported; logon denied

    How can I force sqlplus to use OS security ?
    Thanks.

    [8.1.7 on AIX and on Solaris]

    P.S. And here's my sqlnet.ora:
    # SQLNET.ORA Network Configuration File: /oracle/oracle8i/8.1.7/network/admin/sqlnet.ora
    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

    NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH= (TNSNAMES)
    #SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES=(NONE)
    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATTION_SERVICES=(NTS)
