    Unanswered: Does oracle have a free version?

    Hi,

    It's not quite as cut and dried as that, but if you use a database purely for development and do not use it for 'real world' work then generally yes, you can use it for free.

    Ie, you can use it to develop Oracle based software, but if you so much as keep your home video database on it then technically you are breaking the licence.

    Check www.oracle.com or www.otn.oracle.com for the exact licencing.

    one more question...is it the same with a full version? i mean in terms of functions? or is it limited?

    The installation has all the functionality, but you have to select the functionality you want at the time of installation.
