    Unanswered: sql_trace

    Hello,
    I 'd lmike to trace my users activity with SQL Trace and TKPROF utility, but when a write the command I have the following issue:
    alter system set sql_trace=true
    *
    ERREUR la ligne 1 :
    ORA-02095: Specified initialization parameter cannot be modified

    Can you help me

    Hi,

    alter SESSION set sql_trace=true;

    or

    execute dbms_session.set_sql_trace_in_session (session_id,serial_id,true);

    you can get the session_id and serial_id from v$session.

    How many session could I trace ?
    is there an other way to trace all users sessions ?

    Hi,

    In the init.ora set

    sql_trace = true

    Will do instance wide tracing.

    Then bounce database.

    you can specify what session you want to trace without setting a system-wide trace.
