    Exclamation Unanswered: Problems with passwords!!

    Hy,
    I just created some users on my db and tried to connect to the db with them. My problem now is, that postgresql doesn't ask me for a password when I login with an other user. Below are my createuser instructions:
    Code:
    DROP USER fk;
    DROP USER frank;
    DROP USER wfeuser;

    CREATE USER fk WITH CREATEDB NOCREATEUSER PASSWORD 'pwd1';
    CREATE USER frank WITH CREATEDB NOCREATEUSER PASSWORD 'pwd2';
    CREATE USER wfeuser WITH NOCREATEDB NOCREATEUSER PASSWORD 'pwd3';
    My question now is: How can I force psql and the database itself to ask for a password when i login to psql?

    regards boa

    Thumbs up solved...

    I have solved it already. I just forgot to change the entries in pg_hba.conf. After changing "trust" to "md5" its ok now.
