I have been using vbscript for some time now and have been using a MS access database. I now need to access a SQL Server database. I have a datbase called "archive" and we used a script to create the tables with a user called "dicom". When I use a tool to see the tables - they are there but the owner is "ado" not "dicom"! Anyway, when I create the connectstring I get connected but I get this error:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid object name 'dicompatients'.
I can select data from the system tables though! Any help/ideas?
First of all, why are you still using ODBC? Use the native OLE DB provider for SQL Server!
Your error, however, seems to come from an SQL statement, where you try to select or DML the table 'dicompatients'. From your context, I guess you just omitted the point, so you should use 'dicom.patients', or just 'patients', depending on your current user personality.
