    Question Unanswered: application heap size

    heys,

Ive been having a hard time to find what kind of data is stored in this area.

I know its an agent private area, but what does the agent stores in it?

    TIA,

This is where DB2 stores and processes the SQL submitted by the clients.

The SQL statement like "Select .... "
or the variables associated with the query?

    Thanks,

The whole statements. If you have very complex SQL statements, this will need to be increased in size.

And what about the Statement Heap Size?

I thought this was the place in which the whole statement was stored

    Fernando,
Sorry, i get those two confused all the time. The statement heap is in fact the work space while DB2 compiles the SQL. The application heap is where DB2 performs work other than compiling SQL for the agent.
