    Arrow Unanswered: SQL Connection error


    I Installed SQL SERVER 2000, on Win2k. it was ran good. but today i got the following error.

    A connection could not be established to SERVERNAME.

    Reason: SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
    ConnectionOpen (Connect())..

    Please verify SQL Server is running and check your SQL Server registration properties (by right-clicking on the SERVERNAME node) and try again.

    Please help me in this regard

    You had to change periodically your Windows password, and you set up your server with trusted connections? Now, your server tries to validate your old account with your current account.

    I had the same, and didn't find a solution, but reinstalled the server, and set the start-up user to the SQL Server "sa" user.
