Unanswered: Make Welcome form appear first for 3 sec "Macros"

    Hi there all

I have made a data base where I have made a form with nothing on it but a nice "welcome".

I would like to user to open the database file and the "Welcome" form to appear for about three seconds only, then, the menu

form opens (by itself) where the user can navagate from there.

I have worked out how to make the macro where it opens up the Welcome form when a user opens the database file. I named it "Autoexec"

so that the first thing the data base does is looks at that macro first and opens it up and therefore executing that macro.

Now for the final problem. To make the "Welcome form" appear for about 3 secs, disapear and open the form menu. I have made

another macro called "Open Menu" so I am guessing that I will have to code it in VB on the Welcome Form.

Can anybody help me on this one.
Not sure if I have to code it and if I do what coding to use.

I appriciate any help on this one

    Cheers

All this talk of 'macros', 'VB', and 'autoexec'. Has MySQL (the popluar open source database) been bought out by Microsoft?

Perhaps this question should be in one of the Microsoft forums?
