    Exclamation Unanswered: \ backslash in UNLOAD

    My select statement is like this.

    Select 'Begining Date=' || begdate || '|Ending Date=' || endate from Schedule.

    I expect a result like this for this when UNLOAD is done using this sql.

    Begining Date=9/18/2003|Ending Date=9/19/2003.

    But the result I got was

    Begining Date=9/18/2003\|Ending Date=9/19/2003.

    Please see '\' backslash character coming in the above result.

    Why is this so? Any suggestions... How to avoid this backslash?

    Thanks,
    Gopal

    Hi,

    If your DELIMITER is '\'. change DEliMITER character or try the query.

    unload to 'unload file'
    Select 'Begining Date=' || begdate , 'Ending Date=' || endate from Schedule

    Regards,
    Shu
