I understand that Excel can save into DBF format with 4 as the default. You may have some more joy with a VB question at VBforums if it is a code problem.

    Edit:

    ftp://ftp.the-oasis.net/files/utils/dbfy2k17.zip
    From
    http://www.the-oasis.net/clipy2k.htm

is a tool for examining DBF dates but has full source code acording to the site.

    Cool

    Try using

DoCmd.TransferDatabase acExport, "dBase IV", "c:\OUT", acReport, "AccessTableName", "dBIVName"
