    Question Unanswered: Date formatting!!!

    Currently in a SP, we are converting a datetype to CHAR.
    Can we format the Date before we do the convert?

    Is this possible?

    Thanks.

    Re: Date formatting!!!

    Use the Convert function to convert to char but also to change the style
    option so therefore

    Select convert(char,getdate()) returns Sep 19 2003 4:29PM

    Whereas select Select convert(char,getdate(),104) returns;

    19.09.2003

    Thanks,

    J.
