Question Unanswered: Max Size of Cluster? Win 2003 & SQL 2000

Is it true that if I am running Windows 2003 & SQL Server 2000 that I can have a cluster with 8 nodes running 4 databases?

In this case 4 nodes would be Active, each with one database. The other 4 would be available in case of a failure in the 4 Active nodes. If each Active node were to fail, all 4 databases would move to the other servers with downtime limited to the time it takes to automatically switch to a working server.

    Is all that right?

    Thanks,
    Eric.

actually the time will depend on how long it will take the other node to start and recover the database. the more transactions to commit/rollback the longer it'll take.

    How many nodes?

My main question is: How large can mssql clusters be? can you add a node to a live cluster?

    thanks,
    e.
