    Unhappy Unanswered: DIA4804E Error

    Dear all,

I have encountered an intermittent problem of DB2 testing connection. Sometimes when user try to connect DB2/NT CCA on WinXP to DB2/400 via DB2 UDB 5.2 on NT Server using DRDA, the connection try last for more than 10 minutes without reporting successful connected. The connection protocol between NT Server and AS/400 is APPC. (i.e. Microsoft SNA Server 4.0 SP4 is installed in NT Server)

In NT Event log, the following error reported

    DIA4804E
    gateway_drda_ar sqljmcsp

    Question Program Error?????

I have checked the official DB2 Web Site. However, there are not much clues.

Some of the similar cases proposed that it was a program error. What does it mean? The program error of the running SQL query or the program error of DB2/400?

Your advise and comment would be very much appreciated.

    Angry

I've met the similar problem but on RS/6000 platform. The error is same:
    2004-12-14-13.25.39.751740 Instance:db2inst1 Node:000
    PID:90566(db2agent 0) TID:1 Appid:none
    DRDA Application Requester sqljrParseMsgRpyRm Probe:10

ADM2503C A datastream parsing error has been detected. A dump has been
    generated.

I really hesitate it is a bug of db2connect, but I cannot find any relative patch.
