    Unanswered: calling NetUserGetGroups from Netapi32.dll

    Hi,

Has anyone got any experience of calling NetUserGetGroups to collect all groups that a user is a member of, when logged on to Windows2000 workstation?

I need to check if they are a member of a particular group and disable/enable some check boxes.

    Any help is appericated.

    Try looking here:

This gives a good example of NetUserGetInfo, which looks like it
contains the info you are looking for.

    Hi RNG,

I normally do not use API so am a bit weary of them.

I have looked at the example and copied the code.
But it did not work, so will ask the XP/network chaps here to see if it is to the do with security/permissions on the client.

I would still like to get hold of an example of the NetUserGetGroups, as a back up paln.

    Many thnks for you assistance.

    nonailsleft.
