    First and Second NF


    i got a table with a single column primary key. It is in the first nf. Afaik is the condition for the second nf that all values that are not key-values have to depend on the _entire_ primary key. Because in the table pk is only on column this table is automaticlly in the second nf.

    Is my conclusion right ?

    Well, look at it this way: if your table has no non-key columns at all, then it clearly doesn't have any non-key columns that don't depend on the entire primary key! So yes, it is in 2NF and by similar arguments it is also in 3NF, 4NF, ...
