    Unanswered: Find Informix Database

    Back in November, a user asked how they could find an Informix database on a Unix server.....they were told to try the onstat -d command, and to try dbaccess.

    Brand newto all of this here....if I'm at the command prompt of the Unix server, do I simply type onstat -d and return?

    Make sure all your environmental variables are set

    INFORMIXDIR=/Informix; export INFORMIXDIR
    PATH=$INFORMIXDIR/bin:$PATH; export PATH
    ONCONFIG=onconfig; export ONCONFIG
    INFORMIXSERVER=servername; export INFORMIXSERVER
    INFORMIXSQLHOSTS=/Informix/etc/sqlhosts;
    export INFORMIXSQLHOSTS
