    Unanswered: Ora-1002

I compiled a simple Pro*C program (see attached file) against the oracle 8.1.7.4 product.
The execution works fine against 8.0.6 and 8.1.x databases (local and remote) but when a execute the program against a 8.0.5 remote database
then I always get an ORA-1002 error during the PREPARE statement.

    Can anyone explain what's wrong?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rob

    hi,

I'm not into PRO*C, but i don't see a SQL call to open your cursor, but I do see one for a FETCH. This might be ur problem.

    Hope this helps

The program does have an OPEN statement at line 75. Anyway the program gives the ORA-1002 at line 70 after the execution of the PREPARE statement.
