    Unanswered: Sql Server problem

I'm having connecting problems. This morning I was connected server A but I disconnected it from EM to test a few things. Once I was done I tired connecting to Server A again thru EM and it would not allow me. This is the error i get:

Unable to connect to server A

    Server: Msg 6, Level 16, State 1
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]Specified SQL Server not found.

Server A is on local domain.

Any one have ne ideas on how I could connect back to the server?

The server that i'm trying to connect is on a sql 7 server. So the server has two instances of SQL server, one is 7 and the other is 2000. I'm trying to connect to sql server 2000.

so say the Server A has sq7 and on server A sql server 2000 is installed as A\B

so i'm tryin to connect to server A\B.

I cannot ping A\B but i can ping server A

I did not change anything, i just disconnected server A\B from EM, and when I tired re-connecting server A\B it would give me that error.
