    Unanswered: Replication complete notification?

I know that replication is an ongoing process, but at a certain point in the day (end of day) I need to run reports on my replicated database.

Is there a way that my replicated database could be notified when replication is complete after an event on my source database?

Issue a dummy transaction at the primary and then issue a request function to check if that transaction has reached the replicate or setup auditing at the replicate(I know, sounds ridiculous)

Could you please elaborate on your answer. Do you mean poll until I see the dummy transaction?

Check the rs_lastcommit table of the replicated database

If you have access to the replication server, you can try this:

    admin quiesce_check
    go

The replication server is in quiesce mode when there is no data to replicate to any databases (at this time).
Of course, if the replication server, move data to more than one databases, you will need take information about the outbound queu for your replicated database.
    Bye bye
