    Cool Unanswered: Lock one record in Access

    Does anybody know a easy way to lock some of the records in an acess for.
    I have made a invoice program and i want once an invoice is finalized to lock it to avoid the invoice would be changed by accident. I know Access does not directly support that but there should be plenty of ways to get it done.

    if you have a finalised:yes/no in your table you can use the _current event to check the state of the field. something like:

    thisTextbox.enabled = not [finalised]
    and/or
    thisTextBox.locked = [finalised]

    I'm not sure i understand what you mean. Can you be more specific please? TextBox.locked will not lock my table/form or will it?

    I just want to lock some of the records (invoices) that are closed(finalized) so nobody can change them while browsing trough the invoices.
